Is Cytoplan a UK brand?

Yes. CYTOPLAN LIMITED is a UK company on Companies House (01493205), incorporated on 24 April 1980. It previously traded as Nature's Own Limited until 8 December 2016. The registered office is in Worcester (Unit 98b Blackpole Trading Estate West, WR3 8TJ). It is owned by The Nutritional Wellbeing Foundation (charity 1203987). The brand's own site says it was founded by nutrition practitioners in 1980 and is a certified B Corporation.

What does Cytoplan Food State mean?

Food State™ is Cytoplan's trademark for some of its vitamin and mineral products. On its FAQ page the brand describes Food State nutrients as vitamins and minerals combined with natural food bases — for example citrus pulp for vitamin C or carrot concentrate for beta carotene — and says some B vitamins use a Lactobacillus bulgaricus food base. Wholefood is a separate Cytoplan format that the brand links to plant sources such as hydroponically grown brassica. Those are brand formulation names. They are not authorised Great Britain claims comparing Food State or Wholefood products with other supplements.

How much magnesium is in Cytoplan Magnesium Bisglycinate?

The Cytoplan panel lists 200 mg elemental magnesium (53% NRV) from magnesium bisglycinate per daily intake. Ingredients are magnesium bisglycinate and a plant-cellulose capsule. GymStack stocks the 60-capsule and 120-capsule sizes. The brand states it is suitable for vegans and vegetarians and free from GMO, wheat, soy and dairy. Magnesium contributes to a reduction of tiredness and fatigue and to normal muscle function when the product provides at least a source of magnesium.

What is the difference between Cytoplan Magnesium Bisglycinate and Biofood Magnesium?

Both list 200 mg magnesium per daily intake on the brand panels. Magnesium Bisglycinate uses magnesium bound to glycine (bisglycinate) in a vegan capsule. Biofood Magnesium is a Food State™ tablet where magnesium is complexed with inactivated Lactobacillus bulgaricus; the brand dose is 2 tablets daily with food. Choose by the form and format you want; this hub does not rank one magnesium form above the other.

How much EPA and DHA is in Cytoplan Omega Balance?

Per 2 capsules, Cytoplan lists 300 mg DHA and 150 mg EPA from algae oil (Schizochytrium sp.), plus 90 mg GLA from evening primrose oil. That is 450 mg EPA and DHA combined, including 300 mg DHA. It is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. If you take warfarin or other anti-thrombotic medicines, the brand says to speak to a doctor first.

Is Cytoplan Omega Balance vegan?

Yes. Cytoplan states Omega Balance is suitable for vegetarians and vegans. The omega-3 comes from marine algae oil, not fish oil, with evening primrose oil for GLA. GymStack's separate Cytoplan Fish Oil capsules are not vegan: they use sardine and anchovy oil in a bovine gelatin capsule and contain fish.

What is in Cytoplan Wholefood Multi?

The brand panel includes vitamin D 40 µg, vitamin C 200 mg, folate as L-methylfolate 200 µg, vitamin B12 as methylcobalamin 100 µg, vitamin K2 (MK-7) 60 µg, zinc 10 mg, selenium 150 µg, iodine 150 µg and a range of B vitamins, plus broccoli powder and other fruit and vegetable powders. What is in Cytoplan Pregna-Plan?

Pregna-Plan is Cytoplan's pregnancy multivitamin and mineral. The brand panel includes folate as 5-MTHF 400 µg, iron 15 mg, vitamin D3 30 µg, vitamin B12 250 µg, calcium 200 mg, magnesium 125 mg, zinc 10 mg and iodine 150 µg, with ginger extract, blueberry extract and lutein. Folate contributes to maternal tissue growth during pregnancy when the product is at least a source of folate. Speak to a doctor before use if you take medication. It is listed as suitable for vegetarians and vegans.

How much vitamin D is in Cytoplan Daily D3 + K2?

Daily D3 + K2 provides 50 µg vitamin D3 (2,000 IU; 1,000% NRV) with 50 µg vitamin K2 as MK-7 per the brand panel. The brand dose is 1 tablet daily. Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal bones. If you take warfarin or another anticoagulant, check with a doctor before using vitamin K2. Does Cytoplan fish oil contain fish?

Yes. Cytoplan Fish Oil is made from sardine and anchovy oil. Per capsule it lists 330 mg EPA, 220 mg DHA and 550 mg total omega-3 in 1,000 mg fish oil, in a bovine gelatin capsule. What strains are in Cytoplan Fos-A-Dophilus?

The brand panel lists Bifidobacterium longum about 52%, Lactobacillus rhamnosus about 30%, Lactobacillus animalis ssp. lactis about 10%, Bifidobacterium breve about 5%, Lactobacillus acidophilus about 2% and Bifidobacterium infantis about 1%, with potato starch and NutraJIT® GUARD technology in a plant-cellulose capsule. Is Cytoplan Wholefood Multi suitable for vegans?

Yes. Cytoplan states Wholefood Multi is suitable for vegetarians and vegans, and free from yeast, wheat, dairy and soy. Many other Cytoplan capsules on this hub are also labelled vegan or vegetarian, but Fish Oil is not (fish oil + gelatin). Always read the pack for the SKU you buy.
