Who makes Essensey?

Essensey is made by Trec Nutrition Sp. z o.o., based in Gdynia, Poland — the company that also produces Trec Nutrition sports supplements. The brand says its products are made at an ISO 9001 and ISO 22000 certified site and tested by accredited laboratories such as J.S. Hamilton Poland. Its own shop is essensey.com.

How much caffeine is in Essensey Guarana + Caffeine?

Each capsule lists 200 mg caffeine in total: 150 mg caffeine plus 228 mg guarana seed extract that provides another 50 mg. The label dose is 1 capsule a day, before breakfast or about 30 minutes before training. Do not exceed 400 mg caffeine per day from all sources. Not suitable for under 18s, or for those who are pregnant or breastfeeding.

Is guarana and caffeine the same?

Not exactly. Guarana is a plant seed that naturally contains caffeine; caffeine is the stimulant itself. Essensey Guarana + Caffeine uses both — the guarana extract (22% caffeine) supplies 50 mg and caffeine anhydrous supplies 150 mg, so count it as 200 mg caffeine per capsule.

What is KSM-66 ashwagandha?

KSM-66 is a branded ashwagandha root extract standardised to 5% withanolides. Essensey Ashwagandha Exclusive KSM-66 gives 200 mg of it per capsule, which is 10 mg withanolides. Take 1 capsule a day as on the label.

What is the difference between KSM-66 and ashwagandha root extract?

Both are ashwagandha root extracts, standardised differently. Essensey Ashwagandha Forte uses 666 mg extract at 1.5% withanolides, and Ashwagandha Exclusive KSM-66 uses 200 mg extract at 5%. Each capsule ends up at 10 mg withanolides. The KSM-66 version also contains maltodextrin as a filler.

Is Essensey Magnesium + Zinc + B6 the same as ZMA?

It has the same three nutrients, but it is not the trademarked ZMA formula. Per 2 capsules it gives magnesium 375 mg (from oxide, citrate, lactate and carbonate), zinc 15 mg and vitamin B6 4 mg, with 60 servings per 120-capsule tub. Check the label if you need a specific mineral form.

Is marine collagen made from fish?

Yes. Both Essensey Marine Collagen Premium products use fish collagen, so they contain FISH and are not suitable for vegetarians or vegans. The Mango-Orange powder gives 10,000 mg per 10.7 g serving; the Premium Formula+ capsules give 1,000 mg per 2 capsules.

Collagen capsules vs powder: how much collagen do you get?

In the Essensey range, the Marine Collagen Premium powder gives 10,000 mg fish collagen per 10.7 g scoop serving. The capsules give much less per day: Collagen Forte 1,200 to 2,400 mg (2 to 4 capsules), Collagen+ 1,000 mg and Marine Collagen Premium Formula+ 1,000 mg per 2 capsules.

What is bovine colostrum made from?

Bovine colostrum is the first milk cows produce after giving birth. Essensey Bovine Colostrum uses defatted colostrum powder: 500 mg per capsule, with 150 mg IgG and vitamin B6 0.21 mg. It contains MILK. The label says not for children or during pregnancy or breastfeeding.

Can you take L-theanine and caffeine together?

Not with this product. The Essensey L-Theanine label says do not take it with other products containing caffeine or similar ingredients, so do not stack it with Essensey Guarana + Caffeine. Each capsule has 200 mg L-theanine from green tea leaf extract, plus vitamin B6 1.4 mg and pantothenic acid 0.9 mg.

What is the difference between L-carnitine tartrate and L-carnitine?

L-carnitine tartrate is L-carnitine bound to tartaric acid, so not all of its weight is carnitine. Essensey L-Carnitine 1000mg gives 1,000 mg L-carnitine tartrate per 2 capsules, which is 680 mg L-carnitine. Take 2 capsules a day, preferably with a meal.

Does omega 3 have fish in it?

Essensey Omega 3, Omega 3 + 2000IU D3 and Omega 3-6-9 all contain fish oil (FISH) in gelatin capsules. Omega 3 + 2000IU D3 gives 1,000 mg fish oil per capsule, with EPA 180 mg, DHA 120 mg and vitamin D 50 µg. Omega 3-6-9 adds borage, flaxseed and sunflower oils.
