BPI Sports
BPI Sports is an American sports nutrition brand founded in 2009 in Hollywood, Florida. It made its name with the 1.M.R pre-workout in 2010, followed by A-HD capsules, BEST BCAA, Whey HD and ISO HD protein. Since December 2023 BPI Sports has been owned by Hi-Tech Pharmaceuticals, its long-standing contract manufacturer. GymStack has listed four BPI products: One More Rep pre-workout, CLA + Carnitine powder, A-HD Elite capsules and the A-HD Elite + Solid twin pack.
Stock update: all four BPI Sports listings at GymStack are out of stock and marked as discontinued, so no products show on this page. We have not listed BPI protein (Whey HD, ISO HD), BEST BCAA, 1.M.R Vortex or 1.M.R OG. If BPI stock returns, products will appear here automatically.
BPI Sports products we have listed
- One More Rep, Raspberry Tea, 250g: a caffeinated pre-workout powder, about 25 × 10g scoops per tub.
- CLA + Carnitine, Watermelon Freeze, 350g: a stimulant-free powder, about 50 × 7g scoops per tub.
- A-HD Elite, 30 capsules: zinc plus a botanical blend, one capsule a day.
- A-HD Elite (+ Solid), 30 + 30 capsules: one bottle of A-HD Elite and one bottle of Solid, taken together.
What's on the labels
- One More Rep: each 10g scoop lists 3g L-citrulline, 1g L-carnitine L-tartrate, 500mg beetroot powder, 500mg betaine (TMG), N-acetyl-L-cysteine (200mg or 500mg depending on the label), 30mg niacin and 128mg sodium. Newer labels list 300mg caffeine anhydrous with 50mg theobromine, 50mg phosphatidylcholine and 50mg Himalayan salt. The original 2018 US label instead lists a 454mg proprietary Energy Blend of caffeine, theobromine, phosphatidylcholine, Himalayan pink salt and yohimbe bark extract, with no separate caffeine figure; BPI's caffeine warning says a scoop has about as much caffeine as three cups of coffee. Labels differ by production run, so check which version your tub is. Mix one scoop with 200–250ml cold water 15–30 minutes before training, take no more than one scoop a day, and avoid it within four hours of bed. Beetroot gives the powder its red colour, and BPI notes that the niacin can cause a temporary warm, tingling feeling and skin reddening. Not suitable for under 18s, or for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding.
- CLA + Carnitine: each 7g scoop lists 35kcal, 2g fat, 25µg vitamin D3 (1,000 IU), a 2.5g omega-6 fatty acid and CLA matrix (coconut, avocado and safflower oil powders providing conjugated linoleic acid) and a 2g carnitine matrix (carnitine betaine anhydrous, L-carnitine tartrate and glycine propionyl L-carnitine HCl). It has no caffeine. BPI's directions are one scoop in 180–240ml water in the morning and one in the evening. Two scoops give 50µg vitamin D, so count any other vitamin D supplements you take. Older tubs list a 6g scoop and a slightly different carnitine blend, so follow the label on your pack.
- A-HD Elite: each capsule lists 15mg zinc (as zinc aspartate) and a 500mg proprietary blend of Montanoa tomentosa, Chenopodium album seed, Caesalpinia benthamiana root, Curcuma longa (curcumin) and Trichopus zeylanicus leaf extracts, in a gelatin capsule. BPI's directions are one capsule each morning with food, for 4–8 weeks at a time followed by a 4-week break.
- Solid (in the twin pack): each capsule lists 400mg andrographolide (Andrographis paniculata leaf), 50mg palmyra palm (Borassus aethiopum), 50mg propolis (a bee product) and 50mg Paris polyphylla (herb-paris), also in a gelatin capsule. Take one A-HD Elite and one Solid capsule daily with food.
Warnings and allergens: Not suitable for under 18s, or for anyone pregnant or breastfeeding. This applies to all four BPI products we have listed, not only the pre-workout. None of the BPI labels we checked names any of the 14 UK allergens, but we have not seen a UK allergen statement from BPI, so always read the pack you receive. A-HD Elite and Solid use gelatin capsules, so they are not suitable for vegetarians, and Solid contains propolis. Speak to your GP before use if you take any medication.
Zinc contributes to normal protein synthesis (A-HD Elite, 15mg zinc per capsule). Niacin contributes to the reduction of tiredness and fatigue (One More Rep, 30mg niacin per scoop). Vitamin D contributes to the maintenance of normal muscle function (CLA + Carnitine, 25µg per scoop). CLA, L-carnitine, caffeine, citrulline, beetroot, andrographis and the A-HD botanicals have no authorised health claims in Great Britain, and BPI's US marketing claims for these products are not authorised here, so we do not repeat them.
